PDG

How do we spend our Pupil Deprivation Grant (PDG)?

We are required by the Welsh Government to publish how we spend our PDG. The PDG is the grant that the Welsh Government allocate to each school in Wales in order to ensure that the school does all that it can to close the achievement gap between those children who are eligible for free meals (eFSM) and those children who are not.

This year (financial year 2022/23) we were awarded £73,600 PDG. We  have allocated £73,258 on the cost of salaries for our teaching assistants who work with our eFSM pupils to develop their well-being, literacy and numeracy skills.

This leaves a balance of £342 to buy numeracy resources that are designed to challenge our learners.

This year (financial year 2022/23) we were awarded £35,650 PDGEY. We have allocated it all on the cost of salaries for our teaching assistants who work with our all of our pupils, including our eFSM pupils to develop their well-being, literacy and numeracy skills.
